Jillian Stout
The exciting new Irish author
Jillian Stout
Meet Jill Stout, a 52-year-old debut novelist hailing from the coastal town of Stamullen in East Meath. A dedicated and loving Mum to an 18-year-old son, Jill finds joy in family life, spending time on the beach and taking a dip in the sea with her lab, Cooper. Jill’s life would not be the same without her close-knit family and circle of wonderful friends.
While Jill has embraced the responsibilities of single motherhood, she hasn’t lost sight of her own dreams and desires. An eternal believer in romance and it’s boundless possibilities, she has a soft spot for romantic novels that whisk the reader away to fantastical worlds filled with hope and love. This combined with her creative side meant no one was surprised when Jill began writing ‘The Love Lab’, into which she has distilled both her love of escapism and insatiable desire to learn more about people’s inner lives.
Beyond her literary pursuits Jill finds peace and expression through her art. Her abstract paintings, which use acrylics on canvas, have helped her foster the creative side she has put to exceptional use in both her entrepreneurial and literary endeavours.
She is an active member of The Julianstown and St Brigid’s Drama Groups.
In her quest for balance and wellness Jill is an avid gym goer, cyclist and walker.
Despite the demands of her current role as a manager in a bustling doctors’ surgery, she has tried to foster a supportive and encouraging environment for all and she is happy to report that everyone was very supportive and encouraging on the release of her debut novel.
